From the winter semester 2024/25, the Data Literacy Project will offer the module “DataSkills4All: Fundamentals of Data and Digital Literacy” in the area of General Key Qualifications (ASQ).
As part of the module, both methodological and technical skills as well as skills for critical analysis of data and the knowledge gained from it will be discussed. We also address overarching aspects such as data management, legal issues relating to working with data and the possibilities and challenges of data analysis and visualization. All participants will learn the basics of processing data using the Python programming language (no prior knowledge required).
The course includes a project work on a self-chosen topic, in which the acquired knowledge is applied and participants can try out the (un)factual representation of data.
Students from all subject areas are welcome. No special prior knowledge is required.
The ASQ module can be taken as an elective for many degree programs. Registration is now possible via FriedolinExternal link.
