Volker Deckert erhält den Ellis-R.-Lippincott-Preises 2020

The Optical Society (OSAExternal link), the Coblentz SocietyExternal link and the Society for Applied Spectroscopy (SASExternal link) have announced this year's winner of the Ellis R. Lippincott Award, Volker Deckert from the Institute of Physical Chemistry at the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena. With this award, the three scientific societies acknowledge his continuous contributions to high-resolution Raman spectroscopy, in particular the realization of tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy, which enables label-free structural surface characterization down to the level of single molecules.

Prof. Deckert's main research interests are Raman spectroscopy, optical near-field microscopy and plasmon amplification. Further information can be found on the website of his research group.
